The last step of our project work" A holiday around Ukraine" was creating  interactive maps of sights in Kharkiv and Vovchansk district.
So my campers gathered  all the necessary information about the most interesting places in our hometown, took photos and created amazing interactive maps for tourists. Then all the participants took part in a role game "Tourist guide" and presented interesting facts about all the sights mentioned in their project.
That was the last day of our project work. Tomorrow we'll say good bye to our language summer camp. But it will be tomorrow.
And now see you!;)

13 June 2017
Today our friendly team have worked on a special project "We are Ukrainians".
The first step of our work was to identify the Ukrainian pecularities through our customs and traditions. We talked about our national holidays and watched an interactive presentation about Ukrainian Art and Handicrafts
The second step of our project work was to create a friendly poster of our native country. Our cooperative work was under the guidance of our volunteer Inna Illivna.
And the culmination of our work was a video "We are Ukrainians" in which we talked about our likes. This video shows that we are different, but there is one thing which unites all of us. It's our national identity. We are Ukrainians and we are proud of it!

See you tomorrow!;)

The slogan of our meeting was "Be creative!"
Our volunteer and Art teacher Inna Illivna prepared a special task for our campers on that day. We had to create a so-called friendly house. Every window of this house was designed and painted by an every member of the team. To my mind, it's a great example of team building, isn't it?
Everyone had a great fun while doing this lovely project. And everyone was really creative on that day!
See you;)

Hello everyone! On that day we had a special contest for cooking experts.
At the beginning of our contest we revised the rules of healthy meal doing "Our Plate Colours".
Then we played Eaten/Uneaten game
We also revised the vocabulary of the topic "Food" with the help of "Memory game"
and checked our memory matching the pairs of words and pictures

Then we sang a funny song "Hot potato"
After that the campers watched the video about cooking Ukrainian borsch

And they tried to find all the ingredients for this dish
Then the campers had an oral practise making a real interview about their likes and dislikes in food

At the end of the contest we played "Glorious Food" table game

Today we have started our project work "A holiday around Ukraine".
We are going to enlarge our vocabulary on the topic "Travelling" and to learn describing our homeland.
So, first of all we played the memory game an revised the words of the topic "Transport". After that we learnt new words on the topic "Travelling".

After learning the new words we watched the video "Experience Ukraine! We are open for tourism", presented by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine and discussed the sights of our homeland.
(The video ""Experience Ukraine! We are open for tourism" was taken from  Міністерство економічного розвитку і торгівлі України Youtube Channel)

Then we decided to check our new knowledge with the help of "Bingo" game, presented by the Dinternal-books.

Today's our activity was a little step towards the realisation of our main project "A holiday around Ukraine". But we'll talk about it later.
So, to be continued...;)

Today my campers and I have had a virtual excursion around London.
We stated our trip with a lovely song "Do you live in London?". It helped us not only to revise the interrogative form of Present Simple but to learn more interesting facts about London.
Then we went on our virtual trip with the help of my presentation and visited the must-sees of London and my students took part in a role game.

At the end of our meeting we had a little quiz and could find out what we learnt about London. The London expert became Max Kuznichenko.
Смайлы Праздники Congratulations!
See you tomorrow!;)

The topic of  our meeting was "Sport Day" and my students were divided into two teams ready for the competition.
We started our competition with a little warm up. It' s a game "Red, blue, yellow, green". My students revised the colours and had some fun.
The first competition was "The Code". My students had to run to their finish and decode a letter. At the end of the competition all the participants could read the hidden phrase "We like English"
All the tasks were designed to help students in revision of the vocabulary, learnt before. These tasks are: "The words", "Odd word", "Find your place", "A little trip", "A hungry crocodile", " Swamp".
All the competitors had a great fun trying to get to their destination.

At the end of our competition we found out that the winner became friendship. And it's really good!
See you tomorrow!;)

2 June 2017
A special guest has visited our language camp on this day - it's our volunteer and Art teacher Inna Illivna. She has guided a master - class on Modul Origami.
Our campers imagination was limitless: they created beautiful flowers, unusual bookmarks and even animal figures. Today has been a real festival of creativity where everyone could show his or her emagination and art skills.

At the end of the art-studio lesson we summed up our results.
That' s the end of the first week in "Englishland" our summer language camp. I wish everyone amazing weekend and see you next week!;)
