From the diary of "Englishland" language summer camp

2 June 2017
A special guest has visited our language camp on this day - it's our volunteer and Art teacher Inna Illivna. She has guided a master - class on Modul Origami.
Our campers imagination was limitless: they created beautiful flowers, unusual bookmarks and even animal figures. Today has been a real festival of creativity where everyone could show his or her emagination and art skills.

At the end of the art-studio lesson we summed up our results.
That' s the end of the first week in "Englishland" our summer language camp. I wish everyone amazing weekend and see you next week!;)

31 May 2017
Today is the third day of our camp life and we are ready for a challange. Today we have a Word hunt competition.
So my students have got the task to find questions on the topic "Sports" in their school. All the questions were created in QR codes and thoroughly hidden in different places by me:)
But my campers were great in finding, decoding and answering all of them.
This contest helped students not only to revise the words but also to use their favourite mobile devices to move and to learn.
Then all the participants took part in the listening test
and tried their hand in making rhymes with the help of magic leaves
At the end of the competition we summed up our results

Summer is cool! And today we have decided to express our feelings and emotions.

So we revised the words with the help of Maple leaf learning talking falashcards
Then we played a lexical game "Emotions"
Today's our topic was "At the cinema", that's why we spent the rest of the day watching and dicussing a cool movie about summer rest "Judy Moody and the not bummer summer."

After watching the film we played our favourite game "Cola, Pepsi, Fanta, Sprite" (you can watch the video from our previous season).

So, that was the second day in our camp.
See you tomorrow!;)

 29 May 2017
Hello, dear campers! Welcome back to our "Englishland" language summer camp.
All the campers have gathered in our classroom and are ready for something new, something prepared especially for them.

And I have tried very hard not to dissapoint my little scouts.
I was happy to admit that all my campers were on their places and moreover we had 4 newcomers. Even a little rat Maxy came to our camp:)
We started our meeting with an Icebreaker.
We played a lot of funny games and enlarged our vocabulary

Then we sealed our friendship with a friendly human knot;)

The first day in our camp finished with funny dances.
At the end all my campers were happy and went home with smiles on their faces. And one of my little campers even said that everything was cool. And I was really happy to hear it.
So, that was our first day in our camp.
See you tomorrow!;)

Welcome back to "Englishland" language summer camp - 2017

Hello, my dear friends! I'm happy to inform you that our language summer camp "Englishland" opened on May 29.

Englishland літній мовний табір Вірич Юлії Олександрівни
The working plan of the camp is based on funny lexical and grammar games, team building and method of projects. This year we are going not only to improve our knowledge of English, but also to show some interesting facts about our native country and home village to the world.
I am happy to greet all my campers again. And I want to congratulate our newcomers Kate, Barbara, Anastasiya and Polly. We all are happy to accept you to our friendly company.
Wish all my campers an amazing summer rest and  new achievements!

School events: "Merry English for the youngest"

On May 23 my youngest learners said goodbye to their first English book and showed that they were ready to go to the second grade.
Here they are - 5 pretty girls and 3 cutie boys, my first graders.
My little students showed how they could name all the English letters and read short texts.

We also played the funny game "What is in my bag?" and revised all the vocabulary on the topic "School"
Then we watched our favourite cartoon about Gogo's adventures and drew funny pictures.
I am proud of my little students because they have done their best.
I wish you, my dear students, good luck in learning English!
