Earth Hour with Spiderman / Година Землі разом зі Спайдерменом.

Spider-Man will be the first superhero ambassador for Earth Hour, the global movement organised by WWF. This year Earth Hour launches Earth Hour Blue, a digital crowdfunding and crowdsourcing platform for the planet. The cast of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, and director Marc Webb, want you to be a superhero for the planet.

Earth Hour / Година Землі.

Earth Hour is an annual event which asks people to switch off all lights and use no electricity for an hour. The aim is to get people thinking about the planet they live on and the energy they use.
The end of March is around the time of the spring and autumn equinoxes in the northern and southern hemispheres respectively, so sunset times in both hemispheres are at similar times. This means that a global ‘lights out’ event has most visual impact at this time of year.
The WWF’s famous panda logo recently helped to promote Earth Hour. In 2014, the WWF asked their Facebook users to name a panda - not a real animal but a cute panda teddy bear. The WWF also encouraged everyone to join in by tweeting a #passthepanda selfie of themselves either in panda costume or wearing panda face paints.
My 6-th formers decided to join this project and here is their passthepanda selfie:

World Theatre Day / Всемирный День Театра.

World Theatre Day is celebrated every year on March 27. It was established in 1961 by the International Theatre Institute. This International Day is traditionally held under the slogan: "Theatre as the  mean of understanding and peace among nations".
My 7th formers have got a special lesson today. It was devoted to the theatre and William Shakespeare's poetry.
At the beginning of the lesson my pupils watched a presentation about William Shakespeare and the Globe Theatre.
Then Valery Lymar and Diana Grebenkova read the main facts about William Shakespeare and his works.
After that we dived into the fantastic world of poetry by W.Shakespeare. Roman Yagnyuk and Eugene Lymar read W.Shakespeare's sonnets.
And Elligah Kapustyan recited the great Hamlet's monologue "To be or not to be..."
Thanks for your project dedicated to the World Theatre Day.
