Our school life: Taras Shevchenko's birthday / Наше шкільне життя: День народження Тараса Шевченка.

On March 9 we celebrate the 200-th anniversary of our national Ukrainian bard Taras Shevchenko.

On this day my pupils recited Shevchenko's poems not only in Ukrainian but in English, too:

At the end of our literary party my girls sang a song "My evening star" by T. Shevchenko:

Taras Shevchenko was a great pesonality who made a great contribution to our Ukrainian literature. We will always remember him and his great poems.
